Additional Information
Dr Christopher Shade explains about Dr. Shade's Bitters No.9 says,
“ This supplement includes nine classic herbs that are used in digestive and liver formulas. It has dandelion, milk thistle, Gentian (root), Burdock (root), and Solidago gigantea (aerial parts), Essential oil of sweet orange, Myrrh, Juniper and Clove.
Gentian is the most well-known bitter herb and is known as a bitter tonic. It hits bitter receptors on the tongue, stomach, pancreas, etc. Myr is one of the less well-known aspects in this regard, but in Ayurveda, it's known as the primary bitter detoxifier in their system, and it's got antimicrobial properties as well. We talk a lot about SIBO, and people don't know about the detergent aspect of the bile acids that's flushing the microbes out of the upper GI and moving them down. Myrrh is playing this effect. The other ingredients in the formula keep you constantly detoxing, moving bile and constantly digesting.
